The FLL Challenge season includes kickoff events, optional scrimmages for practice, official qualifier events, and a State Championship. Teams may advance to the World Festival in Houston in April or other invitational events across the country.
FLL Challenge Competition Season Dates
Teams register to compete a Qualifier Tournament (QT) where they have scored robot rounds and a judging session. Based on their performance, they may qualify for the Regional Tournament and State Championship events in January and February. Teams pay registration fee with credit card when selecting their event OR by mailing a check to FIRST South Carolina using instructions on the registration form. The team fee is $175 and covers the cost of one qualifier tournament and the state championship registration (if team advances).
